“MELTING-POT MEXICO-CITY” 2012
INFORMATIONS
In September 2012 in Mexico-City, students of the Institut Supérieur d’Etudes de Mode IES Moda Casa de Francia, under the artistic direction of the French fashion designer NACO PARIS, created a fashion performance presenting a gallery of street-casted characters.
The looks featured in the performance were based on a combination of Mexico’s traditional and emblematic references, and political and social events and wrongdoings, which were re-interpreted in a punk aesthetic.
Going further than a collection presentation, this experimental work aimed at bringing to light the social functions of fashion.
